Killer whales and the Northern Lights: An adventure in the Lyngen Alps
Killer whales and the Northern Lights
Experience the Arctic at a time when nature is at its most dramatic. From the deck of T/S Saeftinghe, we explore the fjords and waterways of the Lyngen Alps during the season when large herring shoals attract killer whales and humpback whales to the region.
As daylight gradually gives way to the long Arctic twilight, the first Northern Lights begin to appear above the mountains and fjords. Each day brings new possibilities. We sail between remote anchorages, search for wildlife, explore the coastline and immerse ourselves in the rhythm of life at sea.
This journey is not about rushing from one highlight to the next. It is about experiencing the Arctic as it unfolds around you. The combination of snow-covered peaks, rich marine wildlife, quiet fjords and dancing auroras creates an experience that is truly Out Of The Ordinary.
