Sailing the Fjords: Hidden Gems around Bergen
Discover the hidden gems around Bergen with T/S Saeftinghe
From 5 to 12 September 2026, we will explore the islands, fjords and sheltered waters that surround Bergen. Although Bergen is known as the gateway to the Norwegian fjords, much of the region lies hidden away from the busy shipping lanes. During this voyage, we will seek out quiet anchorages, small coastal communities and secluded bays where nature still sets the pace.
During this week, we will sail only day trips. In the evenings, we will be safely moored in a harbour or at anchor in a quiet spot. Along the way, we will combine active sailing with time to explore ashore. No rush, no long crossings, but a week in which the journey and the surroundings take centre stage.
An accessible and inspiring sailing trip for those who want to experience Norway up close, get to know life on board a traditional sailing ship, or simply enjoy a week at sea amongst the fjords and islands of Western Norway.

For whom is this trip suitable?
With our voyages, we aim to introduce beginners to sailing and the ocean on the one hand, and experienced sailors who want to do something different on the other. But of course, not every trip is the same... That's why we distinguish between heaviness and effort. That way you have an idea of what you can, should and should expect.
This trip has 1 iceberg and is sailed in day trips.
These voyages are open to everyone. We sail exclusively day passages, without overnight crossings. In the evenings we moor safely in a harbour or drop anchor in a quiet bay. The program remains flexible: in case of less favourable weather we look for an alternative together. Perfect for those who want to get acquainted with sailing, or simply enjoy a relaxed yet adventurous stay on board. One iceberg stands for low-threshold adventure, where discovery and enjoyment are at the heart of the experience.
